Giving beans to an almost 7 month old?

I make my own baby food and a few books I have suggest bean products. So I bought lentils, pinto beans, and black beans from an organic food store. The book that suggests these three is a very recent version. Well they are super easy to puree but my mom was telling me it can cause bad gas in their stomachs and cause pain. Would you suggest trying it with my almost 7 month old or definitely hold off?

Lentils shouldn't be a problem. They aren't a gassy food. The other beans I might wait on, but there is no harm in trying them. If your son seems upset of gassy, just don't offer them again.
