How do you clean a loofah?

is it good to put it with the wash load in a washing machine?

You're supposed to replace them every 3 months. you can get one from walmart for like a buck. Washing them wouldn't help much and probably would unravel it.

EDIT: the 3 month thing is for a toothbrush. a loofah is every month
