Values of Old Coins?
I was going through the attic today searching for old pictures and family heirlooms, and found my great-grandfather's coin collection. He left them to me in his will (he died in 1991, shortly after I was born), and I was looking through them. There are a few full sets, but there are also several individual coins, each sealed in plastic and in fairly decent condition.
A few of the individual coins are:
1- 1924 S Standing Liberty quarter
2- 1976 Bicentennial JFK half dollars
1- 1921 D Mercury Dime
1- 1924 D Lincoln Penny
2- 1914 D Buffalo Nickels
7- 1943 S steel cents
12-1943 P steel cents
Are any of these individual coins worth more than face value? They're all in fairly decent condition--no or minimal tarnish, very minor scratches, and have been sealed for nearly 20 years.
Oh, and please list your sources so I can tell if the information is valid.
I have no idea about coins, but your avatar looks very happy- not angry at all! =D
