Growing Peas and Beans Together?
I have a huge pot (too heavy for a man to lift) and and thinkiing about putting canes in it and growing runner beans up them. Could I also pot early peas (Kelvedon Wonder) in the same pot?
The peas climb to about 24", so I have a sort of vision of beans at the top and peas at the bottom.
Depends on how large the pot is and how many plants you put in. You risk overcrowding the beans and peas, daily watering, weekly feeding as the roots will deplete available water and nutrients quickly. Cool idea.
