| cooking advice |
How to cook green beans from the garden? (For dinner - and I'm hungry)?
They were on special at the store but I never made them.
I know you have to trim the ends and snap them in half -but then what?
Do I boil them?
For how long?
Suggestions?
Thanks Bubbles - they turned out pretty good
i don't boil mine. i snip the ends and put them in a saute' pan with a little olive oil. i saute' them over medium low heat with salt, pepper, and a little garlic. i like mine crisp so i only cook them about 6 minutes. when they are almost done, i add a little pad of butter or more if you like, and let it melt. that's it. that's my favorite way.
