malachite green how much do i use in a 66 gallon tank with fresh water tropical fish? I have ich in my tank?

I dont want to use full doses because I have irredescent sharks. I also want to know how often to add it to the tank over a seven day timeframe and at what temp to keep the tank?

Your bets bet when you have sensitive fish is to slowly increase the temperature to 84 F and adding 1-2 Tbs of aquarium salt per gallon. I have had better luck with this treatment than any other, but it does take some time so be patient. I have found that other treatments often lead to secondary infections which then require treatment and so more medication is added, and you can see where this is going. I keep sensitive discus, tetras, and corries and have never had problems with low levels of salt in the aquarium for brief periods of time. Remember to replace any salt you remove during water changes and keep up this treatment for at least two week after the last visible signs of ich have disappeared. Good luck.
