any trick for peeling broad (fava) beans ?
I love broad beans, and Im starting to get a glut of them in my weekly veg box.
But they're so difficult to peel.
I dont mean just taking out of the long pod, but each bean is covered in a thick leathery skin, which is edible but ideally should be removed. It makes them so much nicer.
But its very fiddly and time consuming. Does anyone have any quick tips for peeling broad beans?
You know how you can slash a tomato, put it in hot water, then cold water, and the skin just peels off. I was hoping for a similar suggestion for broad beans

Yeah, blanch them, get sum ice water ready, dunk your beans in boiling water, for just an instant, pull them out & straight into ice water, the shell, or grey husk should slip off easy now.
