Does Early Or Late Ovulation Influence Baby Gender? Does It Influence Fertility?
I've recently begun receiving this question with more and more frequency. Some of the women who write to me are taking my advice in terms of using ovulation predictors to make sure that you know exactly when you are ovulating. Many of these same women are somewhat surprised to see that although they are ovulating, this is happening either much earlier or much later than the time frame that they had always assumed was taking place.
For example, some women find that they actually ovulate much earlier than mid way through their cycle and I actually had a woman tell me that she got a positive as late as on day 24. I also had someone tell me that she got a positive as early as day 7. These women will often ask if their being early or late affect their fertility or will have any impact on their baby's gender. They want to know if they need to do anything different to make sure that they get pregnant with the gender that they want. I will discuss these concerns in the following article.
Healthy Ovulation And Fertility Plus Intercourse With A Healthy Partner Should Equal Pregnancy (No Matter When This Occurs:) The basic formula for getting pregnant is to conceive on or around your fertility or ovulation window. So long as this is accomplished (assuming that there is not some medical issue or problem with either your or your partner,) you should eventually become pregnant.
Some woman worry that having an early or late ovulation means that there is a problem with their fertility. This is not usually accurate, in my experience. I personally ovulate quite late in my cycle (sometimes as late as day 21 or even later) and I am a most certainly a mother with successful conceptions and pregnancies. A woman's ovulation day can vary from month to month for a variety of reasons, many of which you have no control. There are not any "right" or "better" day for this to occur. And, the actual calendar day on which this occurs does not typically have any indication as to how successful you will be with conception.
So long as you are successfully able to fertilize the healthy egg with healthy sperm in the correct time frame – no matter when this happens for your body – then you should eventually have success. Worry more about determining what the right time for your unique body. Every one truly is different and just because your experience is different doesn't mean that it's wrong.
Does Late Or Early Ovulation Affect The Sex Of Your Baby?: Many people who ask this question actually have the variables confused. They may have heard that conception which occurs before ovulation favors a girl baby, while having intercourse after ovulation favors males. For the most part, this is accurate (although there are other variables to consider like acidity and the sexual positions used.)
But, the earliness or lateness of the date as to when the ovulation occurs does not really affect this equation. The two variables that you need to be concerned about is when you have intercourse in relation to when your egg was released (which means when you got a positive when testing.) This is the variable that needs to be addressed. The concern is not when the positive reading happened or what the calendar said when this happened. When you had intercourse in relation to when your attempts happened is much more important.
I hope this article has shown you that you, as long as you and your partner are known to be healthy, you don't necessarily have to worry if you get a positive reading earlier or later than when you thought you might. The actual date isn't nearly as important as getting that positive reading. And there are countless mothers out there who very successfully conceived during a later or earlier ovulation cycle. The plan should be the same. Focus on having intercourse at the appropriate time, with the appropriate acidity, and using the appropriate positions. The rest should fall into place.
I've put together a few websites that take a lot of the guess work out of choosing your baby's gender when getting pregnant. You'll find step by step instructions, resources for determining ovulation times, douche recipes and food PH lists, information on when to conceive, tips, support, and examples of ovulation predictors / PH testing strips.

Is it too early to ask a girl to homecoming?

Ask her when you feel it's the right time.
But remember, it's a first-come-first-serve basis.
