Tips For An Exotic Italian Tour As New Vacation Spots Emerge!
Amongst a huge range of exotic locales that witness waves of visitors each year, Italy is perhaps the most popular of the lot, speaking of European nations. With a great history and cultural significance to boost, Italian wine and scenic landscapes have helped catapult Italian tours into the global limelight! And with newer vacationing spots like Florence, Cinque Terre, Assisi (St. Francis' birthplace) and Volterra (a major hill town in the Tuscan region) cropping up, the whole face of tourism in Azzurri-land has changed over the decade!
However, ill-prepared or carelessly planned Italian tourscan never be the best way to take in the pleasures of traveling in Italy. The country has so many types of places to visit and such extravagant tourism options to choose from, that it would be a crime not to keep some basic points in mind while planning a tour. Listed below are some of the more important ones:
-
Keep it Planned – Start preparing months before you actual plan to travel. Sketch the outline of the places you wish to visit, the things you would want to do and the final budget. Without these, it would not take much time in this European trip to go haywire!
-
Off-Season is On – Try traveling in the off-season, especially if you have a tighter budget. Traveling in the winter or spring seasons can help you avail low travel costs (including airfare) and un-crowded spots to revel in spacious comfort.
-
Intricate Delights – Even though Italy has a lot of major vacationing highlights like Rome and the Colosseum, it is the beauty of the smaller villages and towns that can take your breath away. So if time is a luxury you have, visiting these smaller delights can make your day!
-
Wine and Culture – The Italian countryside is like a massive vineyard, and the cuisine and wine in the country are no less popular than the vacation spots, especially among the tourists. Do not forget to savor these, especially from smaller, authentic local outlets, which you can look up before you arrive in town.
-
The Vatican – Missing out on this may amount to blasphemy (literally!) on your part as a tourist. And if you could chance upon the Pope or any of his speeches, your trip to Italy would be something you won't forget in ages.
These, in a nutshell can make your Italian tour a memorable one, especially if you have been looking forward to a relaxing and sunny revelry in the midst of culture and history.
You can also look up several Italian tour and vacation providers online, such as Tuscan Way. It offers a number of culinary as well as vacationing packages in the country, which you can look up by visiting their official site.

How can I eradicate Aphids?
I picked some of my italian parsley the other day, and noticed a LOT of aphids. I have a lot of food that I grow, and I'm afraid that they may spread. I am also concerned about the buggers ending up in my food. What are some organic solutions? Please give me ideas for how to:
1. Successfully remove them ALL from clippings....
and
2. Eradicate the infestation from my crops.
All answers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
to removed them wash the cut produce in cool soapy water, rubbing very gently, and they will come right off-be sure to wash the soapy water from the food before eating
Aphids almost always mean you soils are too high in Nitrogen so long term you need to learn a bit of soil science and how to adjust your soil organically. There are several ways to get rid of them
1) Soap sprays 1TBL dish soap to 1 quart soft water spray all surfaces of the infected plants, especially the undersides of leaves. the soap will kill them. Do this 1x a day for about 3 weeks or until all aphids are gone
2) Attract beneficial insects to your garden such as green lacewings, ladybugs, mantids as well as humming birds (hang a couple of feeders in your garden area and they will come and eat the aphids, they love aphids)
3) remove by hand
Aphids will not harm you if you eat them and they rarely will kill the plants
