my carrot plants are growind real slow?
the little carrot plants do not seem to be growing right,is that normal?what can i do?
seems they have been the same size now for approx 3 weeks now
Make certain that you have thinned your plants. Carrots want room to grow. If they are close together, neither carrot will benefit. Also carrots are very touchy about soil. The soil must be very fine and free of all sticks, rocks, and even tiny stones. The carrot seed is very small and the root is very small therefore it only takes a little pebble to make the root stop growing or it will become crooked by growing around the obstacle. We think of carrots as a finished product and see the carrot as large but the baby root is not even as big as a hair on your head. The root can be stopped by any obstacle in the soil.
