Can Cayenne Pepper Really Lower Blood Pressure

The compound that makes the "hot" in this hot pepper is called capsaicin and studies have definitively shown that this material reduces atherosclerosis which often leads to hypertension. This mineral relaxes the blood vessels reducing pressure and has the added benefit of helping weight loss by assisting in the conversion of food to energy. Magnesium can be found in abundant supply in almonds, cashews, rice, fish, bananas and most green vegetables.
