I think that is ridiculous. When a person (or a group) want to live in the sanctuary of religious freedom and have all the rights/ freedoms that come with it they must permit others that freedom as well. For example. if the Imam expects his religion to be protected/permitted to exist why is he so against a mural expressing the beliefs of another group? Not only that; the mural was there to commemorate somebody's death, that alone deserves a little respect. To me having that torn down is like going to a cemetary and knocking down all the tombstones. In short it is a give and take thing if you want to live in an area that allows you to worship as you please you have to respect that other's are granted that same right. If the Imam has such an issue with anything non Muslim maybe he should move to an area where only Muslims are permitted. Otherwise learn to get along. This message goes for the Christians too. Well for everyone really; Live and let live unless their beliefs are being forced on you get over it.
